The Cumberland Sanctuary Network has met twice in 2025. The first get together was in Carlisle on 12th February in the Vineyard Hub and the second was in The Settlement, Maryport on 16th June, part of Refugee Week. Agendas included presentations from City of Sanctuary UK, Northumberland County of Sanctuary, West Cumbria Refugee Support Network and Cumberland Council as well as updates from members. Member organisations were joined by representatives of people seeking sanctuary who were able to share their views and feedback in groupwork and informal discussions at both events.

At the Maryport event, certificates of membership were presented to the groups in attendance by the Network Chairperson, Cynthia Waggah.
